#FeatureFriday: Zonke Dikana

Zonke Dikana (professionally known as Zonke) is a multi-award winning record producer, singer and song writer. Born in the Eastern Cape in 1979, Zonke began her career as a song writer and, at times, backing vocalists for prolific South African acts which included;  Winnie Khumalo, Ringo, late R&B sensation TK and more. She was a member of the band Culture Clan (formerly known as Jazzkantine) along with rappers Mandla and Mzo. Culture Clan’s 2003 album “Afrika” scooped Channel O and Metro FM Music Awards in 2004. Zonke’s solo albums include; Soulitary (2004), Love, Life ‘n Music (2007), Ina Ethe (2013), Work of Heart (2015) and L.O.V.E. (2018). Ina Ethe (which was entirely self-written and produced) was certified double platinum in South Africa and won the Best Contemporary Album award at the 2013 South African Music Awards. Her live album “Give and Take Live” won the 2014 SAMA for Best Live DVD. Zonke is also the founder of record company Leely Music.
